SUSS creates strong reciprocal partnerships with government agencies to jointly advance our missions and work that focus on community development and social change.
The National Council of Social Service (NCSS) is the coordinating body for more than 450 voluntary welfare organisations in Singapore. It aims to provide leadership and direction in social services, enhance the capabilities of social service organisations, and promote strategic partnerships for social services.
With the signing of an MOU on 20 February 2013, SUSS partners NCSS to provide opportunities for social workers under NCSS’ Professional Development and Management Programme (formerly known as the Professional and Leadership Development Scheme) to read selected courses in SUSS’s Master of Social Work programme under the Continuing Education and Training track. The partnership is further strengthened with the signing of another MOU at the launch of SUSS’s Master of Non-Profit Management (MNPM) programme on 29 October 2015 at the Social Service Institute. The parties will work together on scholarships and sponsorships for the MNPM programme and facilitate the sharing of expertise and resources in the development of leadership capacities in the non-profit sector.
First-of-its-kind social study to offer insights into emerging household dynamics and challenges by NCSS, NAK and SUSS.
